So this morning I was playing around with interactive maps where you can enter the places you’ve visited, like an online scratch map. I wanted to see how much of Europe I had actually covered, because I felt like I’d done a pretty good part of it, and MY OH MY WAS I WRONG.
I often forget how huge Europe is.
If you want to have fun doing this, here’s the website I used.
Here’s my result! (Only 13/51 …) The countries I went to are in bold.

You sure have covered a lot! I had a similar experience, I recently bought a scratch map and I was so excited. And when I was done scratching I was like oh….I haven’t seen anything! Lol, it’s kind of exciting to know that there’s so much left to explore though!

You traveled a lot inside the Europe. I dont even dare to play the interactive map because I only been to two countries in Europe, and one of them is Ireland. It is great to see the picture of Cliff of Moher again, that is my favorite place on the west coast and it still look beautiful after so many years:)

It’ll always be gorgeous! It was by far my favourite activity in Ireland! You may not have seen a lot in Europe but you’ve seen other continents that I still only dream about. 🙂

Ahah, true. Eventually, I’d love to complete this Europe scratch map, but first I want to see more continents! Your blog has lots of awesome posts on Asia, and it’s really inspiring me to go!

I’ve only been to five countries:
– Austria
– Croatia
– Czech Republic
– Germany
– Netherlands
I actually have a scratch-off map of Europe… I haven’t opened it yet and to scratch off my five, but I hope to visit every country in Europe. I was last in Europe in 2012 – I’m long overdue for another trip!

You are, indeed! That’s my goal, too, to visit every country. I’m planning a month over there next spring. I’ll visit Italy with family for 2 weeks, and then I’ll spend 2 weeks on my own somehwere else–don’t know where yet!
You’ve been to some of my favourite countries in Europe: Austria and Croatia. ❤ Gorgeous.

Pathetic!
Haha, no don’t take it serious please. Everybody has to start at some point and you are just at the beginning.
See it positively: you still have sooooooo much to explore. HF & enjoy
PS: don’t just explore Europe… there’s so much more to see.

Ahaha, pathetic, I know! But that’s exactly how I see it: I’m clearly not running out of new places to discover! And don’t worry, I really intend to see more than only Europe. I’m currently planning a trip to South America 🙂 (CAN’T WAIT.)

Just keep traveling and you’ll soon have visited at least half of those countries. I started traveling in 2012 back when I was 17. Right now I’m 22. I have been to 20 different countries in Europe (without counting those where I didn’t get off the airport, I don’t really think airports count as countries).
Traveling is indeed the best experience ever and I’m happy to have visited so many, yet my goal is very far from being reached.
Best regards!
