My Thoughts
A Wrinkle in Time was immensely imaginative and beautifully written, and I’m very curious to see what it’s going to look like on the screen. I loved how the scientific theories on time were explained; it truly made me feel like anything could happen, not just in the book, but in real life as well.
It definitely made me want to learn more about the subject and pick up my copy of Ideas and Opinions, by Einsten, very soon!

Even though I generally enjoyed reading this book, there were a few things that annoyed me, starting with the fact that even though they’re travelling to other planets, everyone they meet seems to speak English. (???)
I also felt like the story takes a little too long to begin. There’s a lot of backstory, and it’s sometimes redundant, and the adventure truly begins only around page 60, which strikes me as rather late for such a short book.
Finally, it felt to me like Mrs Which, Mrs Whatsit, and Mrs Who clearly have great powers that could take care of most of the villains or problems that our characters encounter, so I found it a little annoying that they would just throw them into danger on their own with only vague charades as weapons. Why don’t they help them more than that?
Like and equal are two entirely different things.
Despite all that, I quite enjoyed this book. The characters all had their unique, funny personality, and I loved how Meg’s faults are actually her strenghts. I don’t think I’m going to read the rest of the series, but I’m definitely looking forward to watching the movie!

To be honest, I think I mostly read it because it’s a classic, and I always want to read the book before watching the movie! Haha, but even if it’s not my favorite book of teh year, I’m glad I read it 🙂

It’s been 15+ years since I read it, and I remember being very confused and lost while reading it – didn’t understand what was going on. As soon as I can get my hands on a copy, I’d like to read it again now as an adult.
I personally don’t have an interest in seeing the movie, so I’m not in a rush haha

Hahaha that’s good you’re not in a rush then haha. I’ll admit that even as an adult there were some parts that left me confused like: wait a minute, where are they, how did they get there? And I don’t know, I have a feeling there are things that will be more easily explained visually, so maybe the movie will be clearer for me haha.

I just have finish reading this book I was in love with the settings of this book and way they use time traveling it confuses me at first when I start reading it. I was plan to watch a movie the new version but I hear that I not that. Have you watch the movie? Do you recommend me to watch it?

I love this book! I agree with your confusions, I was confused about those too. I went to go see the movie a couple weeks ago, but unfortunately I didn’t like it as much as the book.
