That’s it for today!
Also, I have now acquired an actual scratch map! It’s one of my favorite thing ever, but it’s crazy addictive because now I want to go to big countries just so I get to scratch big chunks off the map.
Like, I’ve been to Hawaii, and it doesn’t even show on the map! How unfair is that! :O
How many countries have you guys visited in Europe?
Not sure how many I’ve been to, though there’s some I’ve been to a least a half a dozen times, like France. I like visiting same place over and over to explore a certain type of art and architecture.

I totally understand! France is amazing so I also visited it more than once. Especially since it’s so big and there’s so much to do! There’s big cities like Paris, there’s amazing beaches like in Nice, historic castles in the middle of nowhere, the countryside, the French Alps, and so much more! It’s definitely worth more than one trip!

Your list seems very long, but I guess mine is longer. 25/44. But I would put Kazakhstan as Central Asia alongside Russia, so we can’t really compare – I use the UN list. But you have a couple on your list that I would love to go like Slovenia. In a few days I will visit number 26: Poland.

Wow, 25! That’s impressive!
I hope you enjoy Poland as much as I did! It was probably one of my favorite places in Europe!
This year I’m planning on visiting Slovenia, I can’t wait!

Thanks. Just returned and Warsaw was better than expected, but not my favourite city. Slovenia is definitely on my list. Hope you enjoy.

Wow, that is so exciting! You’ve been to sooo many countries! (I’ve been to three xD)
Also, I’m so happy you got a scratch map! But no Hawaii- that’s not fair at all!!

Thank you, I was completely outraged about the Hawaii thing, too! haha
Three is still awesome! For a long time, mine was just three as well, (I’d been to the UK, Ireland, and France, then went home, and then went BACK to the UK, Ireland, and France the next year with my sister because I’d loved it so much.) My total popped just 2-3 years ago when I realized travelling was keeping me mentally stable and I put all of my money in that. (Literally all of it.)
Which three countries have you visited?

Ooh that’s cool!! I’ve been to Germany, Italy, and the European side of Turkey. They were all really interesting, and I loved seeing the culture! (Also the food. I loved the food. 😂) I hope I can travel more when I’m older though!

Italy is definitely the place to go if you like food, haha, I ate so much there! Even Germany (the bread is the best thing ever). And GOSH Turkey I’m so jealous! I really hope I’ll get to go one day!

Ugh, I am sooooooo freaking jealous of your progress!!!! And I love your posts from your travels!
I’ve only been to five countries in Europe, but the last time I went abroad was my embarrassing attempt to move to Prague in 2012 haha. I’m first seeing Washington DC in November, to sort of ease me back into traveling and planning trips. I plan on going to London for a week in either late April or early May next year, whether I go by myself or with a friend.
I can likely only fit 1 1/2 weeks max for international travel since I only get two weeks paid vacation. I’m thinking of buying a third week of vacation for wiggle room for smaller weekender trips stateside and emergencies/other events.
How do you plan and make room for all of your traveling? I would love it if you wrote a post about how you plan your trips, making room for trips while working and other things, how you pack / what you take, etc. I know it would help me a lot to at least give me some ideas and refresh my old travel thinking.

Yay!! London! I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did! I was just talking with my sister about how we miss it. England feels like a second home to me 🙂
Thanks so much for the post suggestions, Marica! I’ll definitely work on that this week if you think it might help you! Though, I do have a very unconventional way of thinking and living my life, so I usually avoid the kind of jobs that would only allow me a week of travelling, or I just quit it when I want to leave, which is of course not something I would advise other people to do. (I’m now living on my own and paying my own rent though, so of course I don’t see myself quitting jobs so easily anymore.) But anyway, hahah, I will definitely work on posts like that! 😀

Oh, and scratch maps are AWESOME. I bought a USA map for my sister and brother-in-law since I knew they had been to a few places together already, and it could be more fun once their son is older and vacations are easier to go on. For myself I have a Europe map and I think a world map as well. I haven’t scratched at them yet – I want to visit one other country before I dig it out of storage 🙂

Scratch maps ARE awesome! It’s cool that you have some specific areas like Europe, cause I have the whole world and that Europe part is kind a small so I keep scratching countries I haven’t been to by accident XD

Definitely Iceland and Portugal! And I don’t know if you’d include it, but Gibraltar really surprised me (it’s technically a British territory). I really loved it there! 🙂

This is so great. I kind of want to press hold on school and go on an adventure (yeah, right). One day. (Have I mentioned all of your travel posts are so frigging inspiring? )
(Also, sorry if you keep getting notifications of me following you, every time I click on your name, I somehow click the unfollow button lol).

One day you must, my friend! Everybody should do it at least once in their life! Just be aware that the risks are pretty damn high that you will never be able to stop travelling once you start 🙂
