I felt like sharing some of my favorite lines from my story Dean & Lily! Even though I’ve postponed the release of Season 2 because I got an agent (bragging) and I’m focussing on another manuscript (busy busy), I’m still in the middle of writing and editing seasons 3 to 5 and the characters keep haunting me on a daily basis (help, plis).
So I thought I’d give them some attention and let them speak today. Here are 7 snippets from various seasons of Dean & Lily:
ONE
Dean drags me into a dark boutique, hides us inside a changing room, and grabs my face with one firm hand. That’s when I realize I’m hyperventilating.
“Hey, hey, look at me.”
I shake my head, panting. “I don’t want to be holding a gun.”
– Season 2
TWO
“I work in a 187-floor-high tower with no elevator.”
She smirks. “With the hottest dude at school, too. You’re not one to pity.”
– Season 2
THREE
“By doing so he made it clear to us that he wanted out of the Troupe,” Malone says. “And the only way out of the Troupe is through death.”
– Season 3
FOUR
“No, you’re going to help the cause by learning here with the other students.”
“But I want to go.”
“But you’re not suspended.”
“Am I not?” Dean grins the up-to-no-good grin I know too well.
He stares at me as he strips down his clothes. One by one.
– Season 2
FIVE
I still won’t take the gun, so he slides it into the large pocket of the coat I’m wearing.
“And how will you defend yourself if something happens?”
He grins. “My good looks.”
– Season 3
SIX
“Meet me for lunch in the park?”
I snorted. “Is that a date?”
He shook his head. “Oh, no. I’ll make myself very clear the day I ask you out on our first date, Lily.”
– Season 1
SEVEN
“You can stay here as long as you want. Until The Flood swipes this entire building.”
“How will I face her tomorrow at the Towers?”
“Like you face everyone else, Waterlily. Without a single drop of shame.”

this entire post is amazing and so is dean & lily and i can’t believe you’re just letting me suffer here after that cliffhanger,,, but ok, i’m here for the pain.
