As you may know, my goal for September is to finish my WIP (a YA dystopian/fantasy). That represents about 40K words to reach a first draft of approximately 75K.
And now I’m sharing the numbers of the second part of the month, aka THE FREAKING ROLLER COASTER PART BUT IT’S OVER NOW, MR. FRODO.
People! My book will officially be released on Oct. 18, 2019. As in, A MONTH FROM THIS VERY DAY.
Consider my level of chill a goner.
And you can get the first two chapters for free today by subscribing to AWA! Isn’t that AWAsome? (Sorry, My Chill used to regulate my bad puns.)

Hi folks!
As you may know, my book Devonna is coming out in October and I thought I’d share a little bit about how the publishing process is going so far in my journey. What the publishing house (Evernight Teen) required of me and stuff like that.
I just figured this is the kind of post I would’ve liked to read a couple of months back to know what to expect, because right now I live in a bubble of unexpected emails and requests and it is MAKING ME REALLY ANXIOUS.
But somehow, I manage. (Because I must manage.) (And, yes, this is a The Office reference because The Office is life.)

Lately, I find myself starting a ton of new books and starting new ones before I finish them, and I realized that’s because for me, first chapters are CRAZY IMPORTANT.
If you don’t hook me in the first paragraph of your book, or at least the first chapter, there’s a good chance I’ll start reading something else, because let’s be real: this ain’t 1895 with only 5 fiction books at the library, folks.
That being said.
I’ve gathered my five worst first chapter pet peeves that will probably make me start reading something else when I come across them, and here they are.
So, I read six books in June and I’m kind of proud of the number considering everything that was going on in my life during this HECTIC month. (Last weeks at work, back from Prague, signing my first book deal!)
That’s right, folks.
My book is getting published!
Hello everybody! October is almost over which means 2 things:
In-between panic attacks, I felt like doing a quick book tag on the theme of Halloween, and of course I found out there’s a LOT of tags on that theme out there, and I got a little overwhelmed at the idea of finding one, since most of them are quite long. So I just decided to make my own little Halloween Tag.
Here it is!

Here’s my book, Dean & Lily – Season One, in fifteen GIFs.
No words.
Just GIFs.
The story goes like this:
September usually marks the beginning of a new school term, and I honestly didn’t think I’d be going to school this year, but life has a way of driving on my plans with a bulldozer.
For a couple of weeks, and against all my survival instincts, I swear, I’ve been really interested in a course with the University of Toronto that’s only available in class, and I decided to scream: I’M HERE, DEBTS, FIRE AWAY!
I registered. Continue reading “Top 5 Books to Read During Back to School”

DEAN & LILY
Season 1 Finale
At the end of the Color Stage, Malone transfers a file into our wristbands, telling us it will only be available for two hours. Then it starts pouring and the wind takes a violent turn, so we all hurry to get home. I open the file in the warmth of my bed, with the rain rattling against my window.
The file includes thousands of banned information and pictures about famous paintings.
I look at the beauty and the paint strokes I would never have dared to try in my wildest dreams. Some of them don’t make any sense, but they hit me anyway. Like there’s a the story between the line of each color.
Colors.
So many of them. Continue reading “Dean & Lily – Episode 9 (Season 1 Finale)”
